VACHERON & CONSTANTIN REF. 4072 CHRONOGRAPH PINK GOLD Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, No. 437494, case No. 279265, Ref. 4072. Made circa 1945. Very fine and rare, 18K pink gold wristwatch with square button chronograph with an 18k pink gold buckle. Accompanied by a Vacheron fitted box.

Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, snap-on case back, concave lugs. Silver with applied pink gold baton and roman indexes, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials, outer 1/5th seconds track with 5-second Arabic markers and tachometer scale. Pink gold baton hands. Cal. V434, rhodium-plated, fausses-côtes decoration, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures, blued steel Breguet balance spring.
