Vacheron & Constantin, Geneve, No. 75351, circa 1855. Fine 18K gold pair cased "cabriolet" watch.
C. Outer three body, engine-turned in a vermicelli pattern, inner four body, " bassine et filet " , decorated en suite. The cases are made in such a way that the inner case can be turned in the outer case so that the watch can be used either as an open face or as a hunter. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with technical details. D. White enamel with Roman numerals. M. 12 1/2"' , gilt brass, bar calibre with going barrel, 13 jewels, Swiss swan neck lateral lever escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Signed on the dial, case and movement. Diam. 41 mm.
