Notes

This is a typical example of a watch made for the Italian market, where Vacheron & Constantin were well established. Another very similar watch, made in 1837, engraved with a view of St. Peter?s Square, Rome, was sold by Antiquorum, ?The Quarter Millennium of Vacheron Constantin?, April 3, 2005, Lot 159.
