PATEK PHILIPPE SPLIT SECOND CHRONOGRAPH MINUTE REPEATER CASED BY TIFFANY YELLOW GOLD Patek Philippe & Cie., Genève, No. 111951, case No. 226620. The case by Tiffany & Co. Sold on September 3rd, 1901. Made in 1901. Very fine and extremely rare 18K yellow gold keyless minute-repeating pocket watch with split- seconds chronograph, 60-minute and 12-hour registers. Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives.
Four-body, "bassine", polished, back engraved with coat of arms with motto "Over Fork Over", co-axial button in the crown for start/stop chronograph function, curved rectangular pusher on the band for the split-seconds function, locking bolt at 11 o'clock, concealed hinge. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with painted Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions, outermost chronograph track divided into fifths, minute register at 12, hour register at 6. Blued steel spade hands. 18''', nickel silver, "fausses côtes" decoration, 38 jewels, straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, registers driven directly from the motion train, repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band.
