ROLEX REF 5512, METER FIRST GILT DIAL Rolex, "Oyster Perpetual, 200 m = 660 ft, Submariner", case No. 1XX1XXX (partially erased by bracelet), Ref. 5512/5513. Made in 1965. Very fine and rare, center seconds, self-winding, water resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with a later Rolex oyster bracelet Ref. 93150.
Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, graduated bi-directional revolving black bezel for the decompression times, winding-crown protected by the pointed crown guard. Matte black with painted luminous round, triangular and baton indexes, outer minutes/seconds track. Luminous steel skeleton hands. Cal. 1520, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws.
