ROLEX REF. 1804 DAY-DATE STELLA DIAMOND DIAL "CARMINE RED" WHITE GOLD & DIAMOND Rolex, "Oyster Perpetual, Day-Date, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified", Ref. 1804. Made in 1968. Very fine and extremely rare, tonneau-shaped, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K white gold and diamond-set wristwatch with day, date, diamond stella dial and an 18K white gold Rolex President bracelet with concealed clasp.

Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, screw-down case back and Twinlock crown, bezel set with 46 round white diamonds, crystal with cyclops lens. Carmine red with 8 brilliant diamond-set, two baguette-set diamond indexes and luminous dots, outer minute/ seconds divisions, apertures for the day of the week and the date. Luminous white gold baton hands. Cal. 1556, rhodium-plated, 26 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, hack mechanism.

Dial, case, and movement signed. DIAM. 36 mm. THICKNESS 12 mm. Approx. overall length 190 mm. A stunning and well preserved example of the rare Ref. 1804 white gold set with 46 diamonds on the bezel. The carmine red lacquered stella dial is set with 8 round white diamonds in square white gold settings for the hours and baguette diamonds for the quarter-hours. The Twinlock crown is configured with two dots beneath the Rolex logo as prescribed for the white gold model.
