ROLEX REF. 1803 DAY-DATE "RED OMAN" RETAILED BY ASPREY ORIGINAL TAGS YELLOW GOLD Rolex, Oyster Perpetual, Day-Date, case No. 3680737, Ref. 1803, retailed by Asprey (London). Made in 1972. Very fine, center-seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with red Sultanate of Oman khanjar national emblem dial, day and date and an 18K yellow gold President bracelet with concealed deployant clasp. Accompanied by the original hang-tags.

Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, screw-down case back engraved "Asprey" and screw-down crown, faceted bezel, sapphire crystal with cyclops lens. Satine gold with applied yellow gold baton indexes, luminous dots, outer minute/seconds divisions, apertures for the day of the week and date, red Sultanate of Oman national emblem. Luminous yellow gold baton hands. Cal. 1556, rhodium-plated, oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 26 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, shock absorber, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, hack mechanism.

Dial, case and movement signed, case also signed Asprey. DIAM. 36 mm. THICKNESS 12 mm. Approx. overall length 180 mm. In almost "as new" condition and still retaining the original numbered tag, the present watch is one of the rare Rolex Day-Dates supplied to the Sultanate of Oman by the very prestigious retailer Asprey situated in London's Old Bond Street. The Omani "khanjar" national emblem is printed in red on the dial in place of the words "Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified".
