Cal. 215 PS, Geneva Quality Hall Mark, rhodium plated, "fausses cotes " decoration, 18 jewels, lever escapement, Giromax balance adjusted for heat, cold isochronism and 5 positions, antishock system, self-compensating flat balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 29 x 41 mm.

Ref. 5500 and 4900 The Pagoda series was created in 1997 to mark the inauguration of Patek Philippe's new watchmaking centre in Geneva. Destruction of the tools and dies used to produce it, ensu r es that this model, reference 5500, can no longer be made. Each watch is accompanied by a silver medal edited for the inauguration of Patek Philippe's new manufacture and bears the dedication: Henri Stern et Philippe Sterna tous nos arnis, a l'occasion de l'inauguration de la nouvelle Manufacture Patek Philippe. This series of wristwatches was produced in limited editions as follows: Gentleman's chronometer wristwatches, Ref. 5500: 1100 examples in 18K yellow gold - Ref. 5500J 500 examples in 18K pink gold - Ref. 5500R 250 examples in 18K white gold - Ref. 5500G 150 examples in platinum - Ref. 5500P Each watch is also accompanied by a Bulletin de Marche delivered by the Controle O/ficiel Suisse des Chronometres.
