Patek Philippe & Cie, Geneve, No 722717, case No 306218, Ref. 2523, made in 1953, sold on 19 December 1958. Extremely fine and rare, "World Time", 18K pink gold gentleman's wristwatch with polychrome cloisonne enamel dial representing the map of North America and two crowns.
C. massive, polished, lapidated lugs. D. matt silver, revolving ring dial bearing the names of 40 towns in the world, at the centre, a cloisonne polychrome enamel medallion with applied gold indexes, representing the map of North America and a mariner's card, concentric, revolving dial in 24 hours for the nocturnal and diurnal hours. The windingcrown on the 3 adjusts the hours and the 24 hours ring; the winding-crown on the 9 turns the ring with the places names. Pink gold fancy hands. M. 12 "' -400 Geneva Quality Hall Mark, rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 18 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted for heat, cold isochronism and 5 positions, antishock system, self= compensating Breguet balance-spring, micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Accompanied by Extract front the Archives. Diam. 36 mm.
