PATEK PHILIPPE SOLAR DOME CLOCK HAND-PAINTED BY RENOWNED GRAFFITI ARTIST CRASH Patek Philippe, Geneve, Pendulette Dome, No. 872577, Ref. 1739. Made circa 1960. Very fine and rare solar-powered and electro-mechanical gilt brass and hand-painted table clock.
C. Cylindrical brass with geometric lozenge pattern on panels, entirely hand-painted with brightly multi-colored star and sphere motif, domed top, the solar cells on top of the dome. D. Silver with patterned lozenge decoration with applied brushed gilt chapter ring, further enhanced with CRASH's signature eye motif. Gilt dauphine hands. M. Ca. 17-250, solar-powered by photoelectric cell with lithium battery back-up, driving a remontoir train, winding the barrel spring, 28 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial and movement signed by Patek Philippe, case signed and dated by CRASH. Dim. 22 x 13 cm.
