PATEK PHILIPPE REF 2597 FIRST-SERIES YELLOW GOLD Patek Philippe, Genève, Ref. 2597. Made circa 1960, sold on February 3, 1961. Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with an independently adjustable hour hand. Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives.
Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, flat bezel, concave lugs, band bearing two buttons activating the hour hand forward and backward for different time zones, snap-on case back engraved: I.S. RAVDIN MD. Matte silver with applied yellow gold indexes, subsidiary seconds dial. Yellow gold dauphine hands. Cal. 12-400 HS, stamped twice with the Seal of Geneva quality mark, rhodium-plated, fausses-côtes decoration, 18 jewels, straight- line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator.
