Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 172327, case No. 274870, made for Gondolo & Labouriau, Relojoeiros, Rio-de-Janeiro, circa 1910.Very fine and unusual 18K yellow gold keyless Chronometro Gondolo with a scene depicting St. George and the Dragon, and inside the case, Jesus during the storm on the Sea of Galilee.

Four-body massive 'demi-bassine', the back with a medallion inset in low relief depicting St. George killing the dragon, the inside also in low relief showing Jesus in a boat during the storm on the Sea of Galilee, the bezels, band, pendant, and bow chiseled with floral decoration. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold 'moon' hands. M. 21???, matte-gilded, gold train wheels, 21 jewels, straight-line 'moustache' levr escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring with Patek Philippe patented 'cam' micrometric regulator, going train jeweled to the center with endstones on the entire escapement.Signed on the dial, case and movement, the dial also signed with a facsimile signature of the owner.Diam. 57 mm.
