(16 3/4'''), frosted gilt, bridge caliber, 20 jewels, straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel flat balance spring, wolf-teeth winding wheels, Adrien Philippe patented third winding/setting system without ratcheting.Signed on the cuvette, movement incused with maker's mark.Diam. 43.5 mm.

Patek Philippe watches in silver cases are very rare. There are two silver watches known by Patek et Czapek in a private American collection, and one in the Patek Philippe Museum. It appears, however, that the present watch is the earliest silver watch bearing the Patek Philippe signature. It is a very high quality watch for the period, with a high quality lever escapement, whereas most Patek Philippe watches from this early period have cylinder escapements.
