PATEK PHILIPPE "CHRONOMETER GONDOLO" CHRONOGRAPH PINK GOLD Patek Philippe & Cie., Genève, "Chronometro Gondolo". No. 124718. Made for Gondolo & Labouriau, Relojoeiros, Rio de Janeiro, circa 1906. Very fine and rare, large 18K pink gold keyless pocket watch with chronograph. Accompanied by a fitted box and Patek Philippe case opening knife and gilt Gondolo store display.
Four-body, solid, "demi-bassine", polished band and borders, engine-turned back, bolt at 1 o'clock to lock the chronograph. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and fifths of a second divisions, Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gold spade hands. 43mm. (19 '''), gilt brass patented bridge caliber, 23 jewels, gold train, straight line "moustache" lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, Wilmot's patented micrometric cam regulator.
