?Large One-Minute Tourbillon-First Prize Geneva Observatory 1938? Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 198412, case No. 617624. Movement made in 1930 and cased in 1938, sold on October 1, 1947. Extremely fine and exceptionally rare, large, 18K yellow gold keyless pocket lever chronometer with one-minute tourbillon regulator by Hector Golay, adjustment by Modoux, Guillaume balance, first prize winner at the 1938 Observatoire de Genève contest in category C (small chronometers). Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
C. Four-body, ?bassine?, polished, concealed hinge. Hinged gold cuvette. D. Brushed silver with applied yellow gold Breguet numerals, outer dot minute divisions, subsidiary seconds. Yellow gold ?Breguet? hands. M. 38 mm., 17???, rhodium-plated, ?fausses côtes? decoration, stamped twice with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, 18 jewels, one-minute tourbillon regulator by Hector Golay, polished steel cage and bridge, calibrated lateral lever escapement, Guillaume cut anibal-brass compensation balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, peripheral temperature and meantime adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator.
