Notes

The dedication on the cuvette of the present watch reads: Made for Burt H. Whiteley, Muncie, Ind. 1906, by Patek Philippe & Co., Geneva. Presented to his Doctor, Geo. R. Andrews. There are fewer than 50 triple-complication watches known and they are perhaps the most representative of Patek Philippe pocket watches. For a similar example, see: Antiquorum, ?The Private Collection of Theodor Beyer?, November 16, 2003, lot 109. Another is illustrated in ?Patek Philippe, Genève?, Huber and Banbery, 2nd Edition, 1993, p. 226.
