Rectangular engine-turned, the cover engraved with a soldier riding a horse, and chased on the front with formal decoration. Dedication engraved inside the lid: Presented by the St. Mary's Troop of Yeomanry Cavalry of the Stewart?), of Kirkenbribright to William Mu.re Esq. of Twynholm Mains, their late Captain, whose conduct during seventeen years they were under his command, was such as gained him the respect and esteem of every individual in the corps. 29th September 1820.
