Bovet, Swiss, No. 2155, "New York No. 1", Ref. A800.0, specially made for Antiquorum's Inauguration Auction in New York, 11 May 1998. Very fine and unique, self-winding 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch, with leather fitted box and certificate of origin and authenticity No. 2155.
C. massive, polished, crystal sapphire back, revealing an entirely hand-finished Haute Horloger'e movement. The back bezel is hand engraved with "New York" and bears both watch and reference numbers. D. 18K gold in polychrome "cloisonne" enamel with applied gold indexes, showing the bay of New York with its skyline and the famous Statue of Liberty. "Dauphine" skeletonized gold hands. M. 11 1/2 "' , caliber 11BA01, double barrel, engraved with Bovet ' s emblem and Master mark - the 12 petalled lotus /lower- 25 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures, self-compensating balance spring. Bridges angled by hand, bridge-and-clog screws in blue steel with angled and polished edges. Skeletonized, polished 22K gold rotor. Dial, case and movement signed. Diann 35 mm
