Four body, massive, "demi-bassine" frosted, the bezel engraved with foliate decoration, the back enamelled with a painted portrait of Ludwig von Beethoven, a lyre above the hinge and wreath of laurel on the border above a black ground. Hinged gold cuvette. D. Gold sating with Arabic numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. blued-steel "feuilles" hands. M. 17 "' , nickel plated, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Signed on the dial, case and movement. Diam. 48 mm.
