Badollet, rue de Thionville No. 33, a Paris, No. 616, circa 1810. Fine 18K gold dumb quarter repeating watch.
C. Three body, Empire by joly (Master Mark), No. 249, the back engine-turned in a sunburst pattern and engraved with a monogram in a cartouche. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals. Gold skeletonised Breguet hands. M. Gilt brass, typical Lepine calibre with free standing barrel, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator. Striking on the case by depressing the pendant with a massive polished steel single hammer, the repeating train and work, similar to that invented by jean Antoine Lepine. Signed on the cuvette. Diam. 52 mm.
