Adamson a Paris, No. 842, circa 1790. Very fine, elegant and slim 18K gold and enamel, pearl and diamond-set quarter repeating watch in a glazed gilt brass protecting case.
C. Double body, Directoire with split-pearl set bezels, the blue flinque enamel back centred with a rose-cut diamond set paillonne rosette. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals and " star " minute divisions. Gold skeletonised hands. M. Hinged slim gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, the going barrel passing through the back plate, cylinder escapement, countersunk plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator. Repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dial and back plate. Diam. 56 mm.
