Sandoz 1 'Aine a Paris, circa 1780. Fine gilt brass, sharkskin covered Grande Sonnerie striking, quarter repeating coach watch with alarm.
C. Double body Louis XV, sharkskin covered, the back pierced on the border. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gilt brass " poker and beetle" hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass Louis XVI continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Cord released striking and alarm trains with fixed barrels and revolving arbors, striking on a ball. Signed on the dial, the gilt brass dial rim engraved: Fait et retably par Sandoz l 'Aine a Paris. Diam. 103 mm.
