German, circa 1720. Fine ebonised pear wood bracket clock, with seconds and double calendar,pu l quarter repeating, carillon on five bells.
C. Moulded rectangular with glazed side panels and back door. D. Pewter chapter ring with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring, inner subsidiary seconds and date aperture. Silvered dial plate chased with cherubs on the lower corners and further foliage decoration, subsidiary dial on the upper part for days of the week. Blued steel Louis XIV hands. M. Brass rectangular with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, short pendulum with spring suspension. Pull wound quarter repeating train with fly regulator, carillon on five bells with five hammers. Dim. 50 x 33 x 26 cm.
