Swiss, circa 1890. Very fine 18K gold hunting cased, moon phase astronomical keyless minute repeating watch with perpetual calendar.
C. Custom made, heavy four, body, "pomme et filets " , cover and back engine-turned and engraved with foliage and rocaille decoration. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals outer minute ring, sunk subsidiary dials for seconds with inner moon phase aperture, days of the week, months of the leap-year cycle and clays of the month. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. Glazed 20''', nickel plated, "fausses cotes " decoration, 29 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Diam. 59 mm.
