Notes

Lallemand was trained and worked for Breguet as a finisher. Watches of this type are of the best quality produced at this period. They carry the names of the most eminent makers. The few examples known to exist present similar exclusive technical features such as a movement made with an original calibre drawn from that invented by Jean Antoine Lepine, with free standing barrel, an improved version of the Robin type detentlever escapement, a half-quarter repeating mechanism and jewel bearings to most of the pivots. Most of the other examples known to exist have been already sold by Antiquorum in Geneva: - Rieussec No. 746, circa 1810 sold in October 1991, lot No. 311. Breguet No. 956, made by Lallemand, circa 1810 sold in October 1992, lot No. 328. - James Foggo No.528, circa 1810 sold in October 1992, lot No. 328. - F.L. Godon, No. 506, made by Lallemand, circa 1810 sold in October 1996, lot No. 339.
