Jean d'Eve, Samara, No. 139, 1980's. Rare and unusual, self-winding, quartz, "couteau" type, 18K yellow gold and diamond gentleman's wristwatch with visible rotor on the dial and date with a metal "Energizer" capsule, with leather strap, gold plated Jean d'Eve buckle and fitted box.

C. three body, massive, polished, on the back the "Energizer" valve, outer graduated bezel for the hours indication, concentric transparent "bombe" sides showing the rotor, gold ring bezel set with diamonds, lateral overhanging central lugs also set with diamonds, back winder for time-setting. D. matte silver ring dial with painted Arabic numerals for the date, at the centre, " guilloche" gold dial also showing the rotor and its gear-train. "Baton" red hands for the time, teardrop shaped black hand for the date. M. mechanical with automatic quartz winding. Signed on the case and the rotor, numbered on the movement. Diam. 36 mm.
