Vincent a Paris, circa 1771. Very fine white marble, bronze and ormolu, eight day going, hour and half hour striking clock.

C. White marble base applied with ormolu decoration. A fine oxidised figure of a vestal is lighting the sepulchral oil lamp, on the top of the clock, books and a parchment lying at her feet. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic numerals. Gilt brass Louis XV hands. M. Brass circular with going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, the springs by Busod, dated April 1771, anchor escapement, short pendulum with silk suspension. Striking on a bell with count wheel on the back plate. Signed on the dial and movement. Dim. 45 x 33 x 18 cm.
