Jules Laplace, Eleve de 1'Ecole d'Horlogerie de Paris, dated 1896. Very fine eight day going gilt bronze glazed mantel regulator, certainly made as a masterpiece.

C. Rectangular, moulded, glazed on four faces. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. M. Gilt brass rectangular with arched top, conical pillars, going barrel, Graham dead-beat escapement, half second beating pendulum with wooden rod and gilt brass bob, spring suspension. Signed on the dial and back plate. Dim. 48 x 26 x 18 cm.
