Swiss, circa 1810. Very fine and unusual 18K gold, quarter repeating musical watch.
C. Three body, Empire with reeded band and bezel, the engine-turned back with a small blank escutcheon. D. Gold engine-turned with Roman numerals and engraved lotus flower decoration. M. Gilt brass highly unusual calibre with going barrel, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Repeating on polished steel gongs by depressing the pendant. Pin barrel musical train with two sets 414 tuned stacked teeth. Diam. 58 mm.
