Swiss, circa 1820. Fine 18K gold, partly skeletonised, quarter repeating watch with automaton Jacks.

C. Three body, Empire, with reeded band and polished back. Hinged gilt brass glazes cuvette. D. White enamel chapter ring with Breguet numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. Driven by the repeating work, two coloured gold seating automaton Jacks applied on a blue enamelled ground, strike hours and quarter on two bell above. Gilt brass train of wheels partly visible at the centre. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, the back plate partly skeletonised, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass threearm balance and flat balance spring. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant with visible repeating work on the back plate. Diam. 57 mm.
