Swiss, No. 48074, Swiss Patent No. 207, circa 1885. Fine and unusual gun metal keyless watch with chronograph and instantaneous 30 minutes recorder.

C. Three body, massive "demi-bassine " , polished, the back applied with the silver monogram " S.H. " . Hinged cuvette. D. White enamel with concentric outer chronograph ring, small subsidiary dials for mean time with Roman numerals and minute register with anti-clockwise revolving hand. Gold "spade" hands. M. 19"', frosted and gilt three-quarter plate, 13 jewels, lateral lever escapement, monometallic balance, flat balance spring. The chronograph operated by depressing the winding crown. Diam. 54 mm.
