Unusual Art Deco Watch Necklace with Bracelet, circa 1930
Box type chain set with early, round, brilliant-cut diamonds, joined by a trapezoid-cut diamond, suspending a section set with 4 round, 1 square emerald-cut and 2 French-cut diamonds, attaching the diamond-set bail to the octagonal-shaped watch; the watch is decorated with a faceted diamond crystal, framed with calibre-cut emeralds and baguette-and trapezoid-cut diamonds, and round, single-cut diamonds covering the back of the case, having a diamond-set winder, rhodium-plated dial with spade hans, the movement with the Geneva hallmark for superior quality, having 18 jewels, all adjustments, signed Avvotuc, New York - mounted in platinum, measuring approx. 24 inches (60 cm.), having a detachable, 71/4 inch section, which can be worn as a bracelet, or removed to shorten the necklace.
