C. Two part rectangular with lobed corners, base engine-turned, front and side panels with foliage decoration in a geometrical pattern, the lid chased with foliage over a dark blue ground. Singing bird box cover decorated en suite and centred with a rose-cut diamond set bouquet of flowers. Pierced and engraved gilt brass grid. Multicoloured feathered bird with moving body, wings, tail, opening beak andturning head. Singing bird movement: Rectangular plates with turned pillars, fusee with chain,rectangular bellow, the bird with moving wings,tail, beak and turning head, controlled by a stackof 8 cams, gold engraved grill.Signature scratched on the movementDim. 95 x 53 x 30 mm.
