C. Three-body, "Empire", back with engraved coat-of-arms and the motto "and Resolute Firm", reeded band, spring-loaded gilt cuvette. D. Small, eccentric, gold with champlevé Breguet numerals, outer minute track, center engraved with a sunflower. Blued steel Breguet hands. The dial plate with a fine enamel painted landscape with a castle on the left, the foreground applied with an automaton scene of chased varicolored gold, with two seated musicians in antique dress, the man playing the guitar anthe lady a harp. Driven by the musical train, the two move their arms. M. 51.5 mm. (22 3/4 '''), gilt brass full plate double-train movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, cylinder escapement, brass escape wheel, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring of two coils only, small gilt brass English type cock with diamond endstone, the foot countersunk on an applied gilt brass plate engraved with scrolling foliage. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. Musical trainith pin-barrel and two stacks of four vibrating teeth each. Gilt brass dust rim.Signed on the gilt brass dust rim, case and dial numbered, case with casemaker's punch "D" with a heart in a lozenge.Diam. 59 mm.
