C. Double-body, polished with pierced fluted band. D. Eccentric white enamel with Breguet numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel "spade" hands with gold tips. Dark blue enamel dial plate with ramolayé laurel branches, above the dial small varicolored Cupid Jacks striking and repeating hours and quarters on two bells. M. 43 mm. (19'''), hinged gilt brass full plate with cylin-drical pillars, fusee with chain, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass cntinental cock pierced and engraved with the letters forming the maker's name: A. C. H. A. R. D. - P. & F. Striking on a bell with fixed barrel, the train released by a button on the pendant, lever at 10 o'clock for change from Petite to Grande Sonnerie.Signed on the dial and back plate.Diam. 57 mm.

Georges AchardSon of François, born in Aouste (Dauphiné, France).A Master watchmaker, he was in partnership with his brother Jean-François until 1796, making complicated enameled watches. The two brothers separated, and Georges created a company called Achard & Cie while he was in partnership with Antoine Luya. Soon afterwards, the company's name became G. Achard et Fils.
