The Shield Unsigned, attributable to Piguet et Capt, Geneva, circa 1810. Extremely fine and rare 18K gold and painted on enamel, half pearl- and diamond-set pendant watch with visible spinning balance.

C. Three-piece, portico-shaped with columns and roof set with half pearls, back with hinged medaillon painted with a bouquet of flowers, strings of half pearls at the top and bottom, champlevé enamel sides with geometrical pattern, unusual pendant in the shape of two wings, blue in the front and black on the back, joined by a short gold chain, finished at the top with a gold torch and at the bottom with a pearl. D. Oval, top part with small white enamel Roman chapter with outer minute dot track and blued steel "spade" hands, below aperture for the diamond-set spinning balance within a gold laurel leaf frame, black enamel background. M. Oval, 25 x 15 mm. (11x7???), gilt full plate, reverse caliber, cylinder escapement, diamond-set balance with flat balance spring. Dim. 52 x 25 mm.
