The Shield Piguet et Capt a Genéve, No. 111, circa 1810. Very fine and rare 18K gold and enamel, half pearl- and diamond-set fob watch with visible spinning balance.

C. Three-piece, shield-shaped, back and band wholly engraved with scrolling, three pearl-set gold and enamel link chains terminated with a large natural pearl in a gold and enamel and rose-cut diamond setting, with a gold pin. D. Following the shape of the case, top part with small white enamel Arabic chapter with outer minute dot track and blued steel "spade" hands, below aperture for the diamond-set spinning balance, the whole on translucent dark blue enamel background with gold foliate and floral decoration. M. Oval 25 x 15 mm. (11 x 7???), gilt full plate, reverse caliber, cylinder escapement, diamond-set balance with flat balance spring. Scratched Piguet et Capt on the back plate. Dim. 85 mm. (with chain and fob) x 21 mm.
