MINIATURE SILVER LANTERN CLOCK Dreyfous, to Their Majesties, 582, Fifth Avenue, Paris & London, the movement French. The case with London hallmarks for 1912-1913. Fine and unusual, silver and glass, single-handed, 8-day going desk clock in the form of an English 17th century lantern clock. Accompanied by a gold-tooled morocco fitted case.
C. Silver, lantern clock-form, pierced and chased frets, bell top, four feet, the sides set with moss-glass panels, hinged silver back door. D. Annular chapter ring with radial Roman numerals, engraved half-hour markers. Single hand. M. Rectangular gilt plates, going barrel, lateral lever escapement on a platform, monometallic balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Case signed. DIM. 13.4 x 4.4 x 5 cm.
