J. B. BEGUIN QUARTERSTRIKING CLOCK GILT BRASS J.B. Beguin, a Paris. Made circa 1710. Very fine and rare, 16th Century Revival quarter striking, brass ormolu mantle clock.
C. 16th Century Revival, ormolu brass with ornate decorations including a dragon at the base, two persons on each side, below the dial a selection of armor and weapons in relief, above the faces of the winds, topped by a winged lady next to the arts of writing, painting and music. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel feulle Breguet style hands. M. Circular, brass, anchor escapement, steel rod brass-bob pendulum with spring suspension, one bell and hammer. Dial signed. Height 47 cm.
