THE GALLOPING HORSE L'Aiglon, Swiss, No. 71857. Made circa 1910. Fine, 18K pink gold and painted on enamel keyless dress watch.
C. Four-body, "bassine pincee", polished, the back decorated with a fi ne enamelled galloping chestnut horse, painted on an engraved landscape. Hinged gold cuvette. D. Silver engine-turned with radial Roman numerals, outer dot minute divisions, subsidiary seconds. Blued-steel spade hands. M. 18"', nickel-plated, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial and cuvette signed. Diam. 47 mm.
