THE SHIELD PENDANT WATCH Attributed to Antoine Moilliet & Cie, Geneve. Made circa 1800. Very fine and very rare, 18K gold, enamel and pearl-set shield-shaped pendant watch with seconds and a gold, enamel and pearl-set brooch.

C. Two-body, shield-shaped, bezel set with seed pearls, reeded band, polished back, gold suspension loop. Oval brooch with a pierced gold horticultural trophy on a royal blue enamel ground, glazed and with seed pearl border. D. Small white enamel with Arabic numerals and outer minute track, set in the lower half of a shield-shaped gold mask decorated with engraved fl owers and foliage, light blue enamel ground, above the dial a small white enamel dial for the seconds. Blued steel hands. M. 21 x 24 mm., shield-shaped, matte gilt, full plate, fi xed spring barrel with separate bridge, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance mounted on the backplate with separate cock, fl at balance spring, index regulator on the backplate. Dim. 27 x 32.5 mm.
