CARILLON GRANDE SONNERIE AND MINUTEREPEATING CLOCKWATCH Attributed to Cesar Racine, No. 4238, case No. 150054. Made circa 1910. Fine and very rare, trip minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold, keyless, two-train, carillon Grande Sonnerie clockwatch with three hammers and three gongs.
C. Four-body, "bassine", polished. Hinged gold cuvette. D. Matte gilt by Steiger, champlevé Breguet numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. M. 18"', rhodium plated, two-train with differential winding, 27 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, striking the hours and quarters on three gongs with three stacked hammers, Silence/Sonnerie selection lever on the bezel border, repeating activated by a trip push-piece in the band. Dial plate punch numbered 4238. Diam. 51 mm.
