Harper, London, circa 1700, made for the Dutch market. Fine and rare silver pair-cased watch with mock pendulum and regulator through the dial.
C. Outer: two-body, polished; inner: two-body, ?bassine?, with deep back, polished. D. Silver, champlevé, eccentric with the chapters at top, radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring with five-minute Arabic markers on polished cartouches, aperture below for the mock pendulum, regulating aperture at 4 o?clock. ?Spade? hands. M. 41 mm, hinged, gilt brass full plate with elaborate Egyptian pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, steel balance with circular disc for the mock action, flat balance spring. Signed on dial and movement. Diam. 58 mm.
