MATHEY-TISSOT PENDULETTE DE VOYAGE A REPETITION MINUTES E. Mathey-Tissot & Co., Swiss, "Pendulette de voyage a repetition minutes", No. 12193. Made circa 1910. Very fine and rare, silver, enamel and black onyx, 8-day going, minute repeating desk clock with painted dial. Accompanied by the original gold-tooled morocco fitted box and key.
C. Rectangular silver with black champleve enameled borders, entirely decorated with a translucent yellow guilloche enamel, silver bezel, standing on a rectangular black onyx base with four feet and pierced trim, hinged silver back door, black onyx push-piece. D. Oval ivory with radial Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, the center painted in watercolor with a boating scene. Black and white enameled gilt hands. M. Rhodium plated, rectangular with going barrel, platform with straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the push piece on the top. Case and movement signed. Dim. 75 x 54 x 42 mm.
