SKELETON CLOCK WITH SPRING DETENT CHRONOMETER ESCAPEMENT English. Made in the 1960s. Fine and unusual, gilt-brass, 8-day going, skeleton table clock with giant spring detent chronometer escapement, calendar and zodiac indication, wooden base and brass-framed glass shade.
C. Gilt-brass frame with four massive baluster pillars, bell-shaped feet. D. Silvered annular chapter ring with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, zodiac indication, date and months with number of days. Pierced black hands. M. Giant fusee and going barrel, six-spoke wheels, gilt-bras superstructure mounted on top with two baluster pillars and V-shaped bridge, Earnshaw-type chronometer escapement with footed spring detent, free-sprung large-diameter monometallic balance with temperature adjustment screws and meantime adjustment nuts, self-compensating white metal helical balance spring with inner and outer terminal curves.
