MINIATURE CARRIAGE CLOCK L?Epée, France. Made in the second half of the 20th century. Fine, miniature, gilt brass, 8-day going carriage clock with alarm. Accompanied by a fi tted box.
C. Gilt brass, "anglaise", fl uted columns, glazed sides and back door, the top glazed to view the escapement, hinged carrying handle. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, alarm setting dial below. Blued steel cathedrale hands. M. Rectangular, gilt brass, four pillars, barrel for the going train, 11 jewels, straight-line lever escapement mounted on a frosted gilt platform, monometallic balance, fl at balance spring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed. Dim. 81 x 60 x 53 mm. excluding handle.
