E. THOMAS, MINIATURE MINUTE-REPEATING MYSTERY DESK CLOCK E. Thomas, Paris, ?Repetition?, No. 1.X.904, the movement Swiss. Made circa 1890. Fine and very rare, miniature, quarter-repeating, gilt-brass and silver mounted, "cercles tournant", keyless, mystery desk clock. Accompanied by the original fitted box.
C. Three-body, matte gilt-brass, drum base with silver leaf mount, gilt-brass ball above for the chapter ring, surmounted by a cherub holding a pointer to indicate the time, winding and setting from the base. D. Silver chapter ring with Arabic numerals, half-hour and minute divisions above. M. 18???, matte gilt, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, blued steel fl at balance spring, index regulator, repeating on two gongs activated by a slide on the top of the base. Case signed. Dim. 77 x 44.5 mm
