SCHWOB & FRÈRES, THE MYSTÉRIEUSE A.S. & F. Armand Schwob & Frères, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Swiss, No.4255. Made circa 1890. Fine and rare, ?Mystérieuse? silver keyless mystery pocket watch to the design of Schwob?s Swiss patent No. 151, published on January 24, 1889.
C. Four-body, "bassine et filets", polished, glazed on both sides. D. Eccentric glass with silver painted radial Roman numerals and outer minute track, engine-turned dial plates with a planished fi nish. Silver spade hands. M. Gilt brass, crescent-shaped, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, fl at balance spring, index regulator. Dial plate signed. Diam. 54.5 mm.
