PREVOST - THE VIRGIN & CHILD WITH ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST L Nicolas Prevost. The case by Frères Huaud, circa 1690, the dial circa 1730. Fine and rare, gold and painted on enamel pendant watch decorated with the Virgin and Child with St. John the Baptist.

C. Two-body, bassine, deep back painted on enamel with a scene of the Virgin and Child with St. John the Baptist, the border painted with landscape vignettes, the bezel with engraved decoration, the interior decorated with a painted on enamel landscape. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with large fi ve-minute Arabic numerals. Steel beetle and poker hands. M. 35 mm, frosted gilt full plate with square baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain brass balance with fl at balance spring, fi nely pierced and engraved cock with single foot, silver regulation disc. Movement signed, case signed Freres Huaud. Diam. 42 mm.
