The BeetleUnsigned, Geneva, circa 1880.Fine, 18K gold and enamel, diamond-set, key-wound, pendant form watch in the shape of a beetle, with a photograph compartment, and accompanied by a matching brooch.
C. five-body, the head in black enamel with diamond-set eyes, the spring-loaded wings in blue champlevé enamel with diamond-set veins, the neck set with diamonds, hinged cuvette, the back cover fitted with a photograph compartment, S-shaped brooch in matching enamel joined to the beetle by an oval gold ring. D. white enamel, Roman chapters, outer minute ring with red five-minute markers. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 21 x 25 mm, heart-shaped, gilt bar caliber, 10 jewels, cylinder escapement, plan gilt three-arm balance, flat balance-spring, index regulator.Dim. Length 50 mm (excluding the brooch).
